Sierra Leone

In 2014, AFM connected with a US firefighter from Sierra Leone who wanted to give back to his community. AFM consulted with him in shipping personal protective equipment to the Sierra Leone Fire Force and then began seeking ways that we could advance our work there. In 2019, the Bloomington (Indiana) fire department began working in Sierra Leone through a Mandela Washington Fellowship and invited AFM to assist. We consulted with the fire service and provided firefighter equipment.
